Welcome to the Sac Bajo peninsula and the beautiful Casa Abuela on Isla Mujeres. This newly redecorated villa situated in it’s own spacious tropical garden will make you feel right at home. Named for the grandmother (Abuela in Spanish) of the family that owns it, Casa Abuela has comfortable sleeping accommodation for up to 10 people. Ideal for family groups, friends or business groups, this tranquil, idyllic setting makes for a perfect holiday. Sunset viewing is a must from the large terrace leading to the calm, turquoise waters of Mujeres Bay and the white powdery sand of your own beach, great for swimming or just soaking up the rays.
Upon entering the main house, the warmth and charm of the great room awaits you. Two steps down lead to a bathroom and bedroom with queen bed. Two steps up from the great room bring you to the breakfast nook and fully equipped kitchen. Beyond the kitchen is the sunroom/dining room with sliding patio doors leading to the terrace and courtyard with a breathtaking bay view. Across the courtyard a separate but attached part of the house contains two bedrooms, one on the main floor with twin beds and the other upstairs with a queen bed and private terrace, all with that fantastic ocean view. There is a large bathroom with double sinks in this part of the house. There is also a cozy casita that is separate from the villa and is self-contained with a kitchen/dining area and twin trundle beds on the main floor and a bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom on the second floor. There is a futon available for another guest.
Great restaurants and a beach club are close by and the turtle farm and Dolphin Discovery are just down the road. It is less than 10 minutes by cab to downtown and all amenities.
